ACCRA, GHANA — Executive Director of the Purim African Youth Development Platform and Founder of Glorious Abundant Ministries International, Rev. Aku Xornam Adzraku-Kevi, has described her recognition as one of the 100 Legendary African Dignitaries 2026 as both a celebration of years of transformative service and a motivation to deepen her impact across Ghana and beyond.
The prestigious recognition acknowledges African leaders whose contributions have created lasting change within their communities and across the continent.
For Rev. Aku Xornam Adzraku-Kevi, the honour represents more than a personal achievement.
"Becoming a proud Legend has increased my impact and enabled me to touch more lives through the work of the Purim African Youth Development Platform and Glorious Abundant Ministries International," she noted.
Through the Purim African Youth Development Platform, Rev. Aku Xornam Adzraku-Kevi has led initiatives that have reached more than 100,000 women and girls across Ghana, spanning communities in both the northern and southern regions of the country.
The organisation's work focuses on providing Sexual and Reproductive Health information and services, addressing Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV), promoting livelihood empowerment opportunities, and strengthening leadership capacity among women and girls.
Reflecting on the journey so far, the respected minister, development practitioner, and advocate for women and girls highlighted the far-reaching impact of these interventions.
"Through the Purim African Youth Development Platform, I have had the privilege of reaching over 100,000 women and girls across Ghana, from the Northern regions to the Southern parts of the country. Our work has focused on providing Sexual and Reproductive Health information and services, addressing Sexual and Gender-Based Violence, promoting livelihood empowerment skills, and developing leadership capacity among women and girls."
The award comes at a time when the demand for community-based empowerment initiatives continues to grow. For many observers, the recognition underscores the importance of investing in programmes that improve the lives of women and girls while strengthening communities.
According to Rev. Aku Xornam Adzraku-Kevi, the honour will further fuel her commitment to service.
"Receiving this award serves as a great source of encouragement and motivation to continue doing more. It strengthens my commitment to empowering women and girls, both through my ministry and community development initiatives, ensuring that many more lives are transformed for the better."
While celebrating the achievement, she emphasized that the recognition belongs not only to her but also to the numerous partners, volunteers, supporters, and beneficiaries who have contributed to the success of the initiatives over the years.
Looking ahead, Rev.
