Abena Tay Ministries And BCI Partner To Fight Breast Cancer[+Photos]

Lady Rev. Dr. Abena Tay, president and founder of Abena Tay Ministries joined forces with Dr. Mrs. Beatrice Wiafe Addae, president and CEO of Breast Care International to embark on a massive breast cancer awareness and screening dubbed; “Pink Market Day” 

Graced by some notable dignitaries, the campaign recorded over 500 women in attendance. The women were oriented on the deadly disease. Dr. Wiafe Addae demonstrated to the women on how to perform self-breast examination and noted that early detection was crucial in the treatment and cure of breast cancer. She cautioned, that “delay in diagnosis and subsequent treatment could have catastrophic results”. 

Some signs and symptoms of breast cancer were pointed out and the most common was a lump in the breast. Others included a lump in the armpit(axilla), changes in breast shape or size, skin changes and nipple changes. 

Lady Rev. Dr. Abena Tay reiterated the fact that breast cancer is a public health concern and admonished corporate entities and groups to put in more efforts to help curb the phenomena in its early stages. 

The event had dignitaries such as Akuma Mama Zimbi, Akosua Agyapong, Tagoe Sisters and a fewv others in attendance. 

The event will be crowned with ‘When Women Worship’ a worship concert on October 27 at the National Theatre. The time is 3PM. Daughters of Glorious Jesus, Ceccy Twum, Kekeli, Becky Bonney, Celestine Donkor are among the anointed and seasoned vessels that will mount the stage to invoke God’s presence among his people. All are entreated to partake in the life changing experience.
