Multiple award-winning artiste Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun popularly known in showbiz as Wizkid has set a new record, at the just ended Music of Black Origin
-MOBO Awards in London.
Wizkid took home two awards on the night; “Best African Act” & “Best International Act”, making him the most awarded African in the Award’s history.
The Afro-beats sensation beat the likes Davido, Burna Boy, Tiwa Savage, Tems, Rema, King Promise, Ayra Starr, Ckay, and NSG, all bigwigs in the industry
from the continent to these awards.
The awards ceremony was held at Coventry’s CBS Arena on Sunday, December 5th, 2021, in which the announcement was via MOBO Awards official social media account.
His fans have taken to social media to celebrate this new feat. Congratulations to Nigeria’s Starboy and all other nominees that were in that category, this is a win for Nigeria and Africa at large.
